Installation Services

Are you thinking about switching from your current propane supplier? We would like to schedule an on-site visit with you to review your propane system and to discuss the propane needs on your farm. We will visit with you, discuss our propane services, answer any questions that you have, and provide you with a quote to complete any work that you need done.

Most importantly, your orders are all placed with a local office with local people.

Complimentary Leak Check/System Inspections

At McMahon Oil we are very proud of our commitment to safety. We want all of our customer’s propane systems to be as safe as possible. Propane systems that are properly tested and operating properly offer a very safe energy source on your farm. We want to provide a complimentary leak check and safety inspection of your propane system to protect your safety at the following times:

Any time we service your propane system for the first time
Any time your propane system is modified or a gas appliance is added or removed from your system
Any time your system is ran out of propane
At regular intervals of approximately every 5-7 years
Any time you have a concern with your propane system or want peace of mind

Delivery Options

Summer Fill: Because propane is usually at its lowest price point during the summer months, due to low demand, we encourage our customers to take advantage of this time to fill their tanks. Our Summer Fill program is designed to top off each customers’ tank (to 80%) before the fall crop drying season arrives. Please contact our office between June and August to schedule your Summer Fill.

Crop Drying: We know that fall is the busiest time of the year on your farm. We pride ourselves on the service that we offer for our crop-drying customers. We know that monitoring your propane level is the last thing that you want to worry about during harvest season, so once you let us know that you have started drying, we will schedule a delivery to your dryer every day until you are finished. During the crop drying season we deliver propane seven days a week to ensure that you don’t have any down time. In the event of inclement weather or other harvest interruptions, we will be in contact with you to adjust our scheduled deliveries as necessary. Alternately, if you prefer, we will schedule deliveries to your dryer only when you call and order propane.

Contracting: McMahon Oil offers yearly contracts for propane for both the crop-drying and winter heating seasons. Prior to the crop-drying and winter heating seasons, a letter is sent out to each customer with the current propane price and the contract details. If contracted, the price can be locked in for the respective season with a down payment amount of $0.20 per gallon. Also, a pre-buy option (pay in full at the time of the contract) is available at a discounted price for the winter heating season.

Crop-Drying Safety

Please be sure to keep all propane tanks at least 50 feet away from burners and 10 feet away from other sources of ignition.Tthe requirement for this 50’ distance is required at EVERY crop dryer site. If you have questions about where to place your tanks, please call us for a consultation.
